Supply-Demand Calculator

The National Electricity Market Management Company (NEMMCO) releases an annual Statement of Opportunities, which must include forecast levels of supply and demand for each region in the NEM. ROAM Consulting has been responsible for the supply and maintenance of NEMMCO's Supply Demand Calculator which is used to determine the anticipated levels of energy demand and energy supply in the market for the next ten years. The calculator incorporates the peak demand, coincidence of demand (with other neighbouring regions) and the level of demand side participation, coupled with the forecast level of supply given transmission constraints in order to determine the prevailing balance.
